Aqua Globe – Fact or Fiction

The Aqua Globe is a hand blown glass ornament that will water your plants for you. It is nothing more than a colored glass bulb which is attached to an elongated stem. Here is what you do. Fill the bulb with water and then jam the stem into the soil of the plant that you want to be watered. The globe will release the water as the plant needs it by the dripful. Don’t worry about over- or under-watering. You plants will stay perfectly watered for as long as two weeks, and the amazing thing is that you will not have to lift a finger! Large or small houseplants, patio plants, hanging plants and even your finicky exotic plants will get the Goldilocks hydration.

It is certainly true that Aqua Globes provide a little bit of relief to the pressure of being parents to your plants. We have come to expect a certain “set it and forget it” convenience that you see on an infomercial concerning these TV products. The Aqua Globe does not absolve the user any of their responsibilities toward their plants. After all, you do have to make sure that you keep refilling the Aqua Globes.

As one customer spoke about her experience with the Aqua Globe, she found a renewed interest in her little dicot. She monitored the Globe judiciously and always refilled the Globe with water within two weeks as directed. The plant seemed to be looking quite vivacious. Now that the product appears to work as it was advertised, the decision as to whether to buy the product or not comes right down to its appearance. Here is what the ad says about the Aqua Globe – “such a simple solution – yet very beautiful.” The only other negative that we had against the Aqua Globe is that occasionally the stem became clogged with soil. The instructions recommended that a small tool or stick be used to bore a path for the Aqua Globe before the insertion and that seemed to solve the problem.

Again, the Aqua Globe waters houseplants for as long as two weeks. It is for indoor as well as outdoor potted plants. The hand-blown glass designs add beauty to your plants. The Aqua Globe includes gift boxes so that you can share it with other members of your family and friends.

One customer thought of the Aqua Globes as jewelry for houseplants. However, they do so much more than just look pretty. They make sure that your green babies get just the right amount of water in the soil without getting over watered.
