The Kreg infommercial is accurate in all respects. The product allows the average person to do accurate and precise wood joinery with a minimum of skill. Compared to other methods of joinery it is very cost competitive since the Kreg jig costs less than most of the other devices one would use to join two pieces of wood. Best of all, unlike traditional joinery where you have to clamp it up and wait for the glue to set, the kreg pocket screws let you join the pieces and immediately keep working, even if you also used glue! The pocket screw joints are so strong that they not only act join the wood but also act as clamps while the glue cures. This is my go to method of joinery in most cases. The only time I don't use it is when the pocket holes will be exposed.
